Fish Baby Shower

Sorry I left you hanging! I was here last week:

I call it paradise, some people call it Florida. Yes, I am a Floridian who vacations in Florida. :) Anyway, on to other things...like FISH!

I LOVED planning a baby shower for a client last weekend around the cute little Lauren McKinsey fish. I found inspiration from bright colors and that the mom-to-be loves to fish. So, I brought in a lot of elements combining those two things.

I made mini fishing poles and attached the little fish. I used these as cupcake toppers and arranged them in the Kandy Kones and homemade oreos. I LOVE the Tissue Tassel Garland from Pom Flair and the Pimp Poms from TiTi's TuTu's used as bubbles on some of the cupcakes. Perfect additions!

Here's the "little wish" table for guests to write their wishes for the little fish for the mom-to-be to keep. I used Mason Jars in various locations around with mini fishing poles and fish and gorgeous HUGE Hydrangea.
The cake absolutely fit the theme perfectly. The cake designer- Annette Wenzel Jones- is one talented baker and designer!  So cute!

The fabulous cookies came from Dandy Delights and they were amazing and perfect! The guests enjoyed:

Lure Them In... Homemade Oreos
Rod and Reel...Sweet Treats
Hook, Line and Sinker... Cupcakes
Bait the Hook... Fishy Cookies
Cast Your Line... Carrot Cake
Anchor the Boat... Candy

I made the cupcake tower using a few trays and flower pots. I added ribbon and a few fish I painted. Perfect cupcake tower!

I loved the cute fish cupcake holders I found on Etsy. Perfect match!

I LOVED how the Kandy Kone holder (aka crayon holder!) turned out. It worked perfectly!

I found green and blue fish netting and hung it behind the table as a backdrop. Green and white gingham fabric made a perfect table cover along with blue fabric that had tinges of lighter blue
made perfect "water" for the tablecloth.

I hope that the little fish arrives healthy and that his mommy will remember the details of her "wishing for a fish" baby shower for years to come!  Congratulations Tammy!
